Video Input Device - Use Native Delta Cast Video as Input

Native Delta Cast Video Input Device for low latency frame grabbing
Smode requiere a diferent Delta Cast Driver depending on the Smode version, you can download them here: http://download.smode.fr/utilities/Deltacast%20Drivers/
if once you created the device, you got the error "stream is not running" you maybe need to recreate the device with a right clic or switch the "Use Direct GMA or Gpu Direct" setting to off, and then restart Smode

Troubleshoots

  1. If the device is not available in the video input list, check if licensing has video in pro flags:
  2. For AMD FirePro or Radeon-Pro GPU, activate DGMA in Radeon pro settings and reboot the computer
  3. If you do not use deltacast for grabbing an Unreal stream , activate "Use Direct GMA Or GPU direct" in Prefrence-> General->Graphic context Configuration.
  4. If you are using deltacast for grabbing an Unreal stream , deactivate "Use Direct GMA Or GPU direct" in Prefrence-> General->Graphic context Configuration.
  5. for Nvidia GForce GPU -> Disable gpu-direct in Smode Setting and reboot smode
  6. for AMD Radeon GPU ->Disable direct-gma in Smode Setting and reboot smode
  7. for Nvidia Quadro: gpu-direct works
  8. For Smode 9.1 and later use last DeltaCast driver with new installation process:VideoMaster_EndUsersInstallationGuide.pdf
  9. If not in device manager or with error warning: Ensure Bios Boot UEFI is in compatibility mode, (no windows UEFI but Others)
  10. If it appears in device manager but not in DCare, take care firmware update was successfull, may be two install.bat pass is requiered after two reboot

Parameters to all DeltaCasts

  • Sdi Interface (Multiple-choices option) : Sdi interface of the deltacast. Should be forced if auto-detection cannot be done
  • Field Merge (On/off option) : Activate the on board field merging of interlaced video stream. Activate this option can be costly or add latency but could allow to support special pixel formats
