Extended reality (xR) is technology that allows you to merge real and virtual worlds using a blend of techniques known as Virtual Production (VP), Augmented reality (AR) and Mixed Reality (MR). This technology enables the production of new environnements and visualizations, where physical and digital objects co-exist in real time. By using it, you can create a fully immersive experience for your live events, virtual production shootings, TV shows, films, and more.

SMODE xR technology orchestrates LED, real-time content, and camera tracking to power production environments. Content can be created with the industry leading 3D engines such as Unreal Engine and Notch, as well as with the 3D internal engine of SMODE, or a combination of both. SMODE xR is compatible with most tracking systems and technologies available on the market.

Don’t be limited by the size of your stage! Transform your LED screens into windows through a virtual world. SMODE allows set extension to create endless landscapes.

Add content over your video stream. Integrate it in the foreground of your scenery and make it interact with the actors‘ movements!

Calibration Master

SMODE provides perfectly calibrated latency, color, and placement of screens - essential requirements for xR productions!

• Latency: Automatically evaluate the frame delay between sending a picture to the stage and receiving it back through the camera.
• Geometry: Automatically align the virtual world with the real world.
• Color: Perfectly blend the walls’ colors with the virtual surrounding.

Native Unreal Engine integration

Drag and drop unlimited .umap files. Play them directly from SMODE via Unreal Editor or nDisplay.

Simply import the SMODE Plugin for Unreal into the Unreal maps. Select which actors and components you want to expose, and they become available for show control in SMODE.

Native Notch integration

SMODE lets you import your creation from Notch, one of the best real time generative engines on the market. Mix Notch and SMODE contents to go further in your realtime creation workflow!
